Celebrating the Celebrant

September 11, 2025

When my husband passed away we weren’t just grieving; we had no idea where to turn. That is, until Chris came on the scene. My daughter had already posted our sad news to inform many of his ex-workmates and she received a message offering his services, as he had recently become a Celebrant, He had often messaged my husband during his retirement , and also knew my daughter from work, but he didn’t really know much about us as a family. That all changed from our first meeting. He explained the whole of the service and asked about things we would like included, many of which we had not even thought of, as well as adding snippets of his own memories to lead the service seamlessly from one part to the next. He liaised closely with the Funeral Home and reminded us what we needed to arrange with them, and he also kept up a dialogue with my husband’s ex-colleagues, culminating in a large number attending the funeral and wake. He spent much time with us in person and on the phone, directing us and coaxing and cajoling us in a very caring manner when we found the going tough, so that we met our deadlines. He was always willing to alter things or suggest alternatives, but we always felt that we were in control. The day itself was a triumph; so many people from near and far, with family, friends and colleagues mixing together as one and with Chris always ever present, checking that we were all ok and keeping an eye on proceedings. He was diligent and thorough in his preparation, always on hand to guide and support us and a steadying and reassuring presence on the day itself. Yes, he had worked with my husband in the past, and knew our elder daughter, but he didn’t really know me or our younger daughter but, in talking to him, I felt that he would be just as thorough and conscientious with any family that he had never met before. It was a beautiful day, with fond memories and much laughter amongst all those who attended, due, for the most part, to the effort and humanity which Chris brought to the occasion, and we cannot thank him enough for his support throughout the whole experience.

The perfect eulogy

July 27, 2026

Chris was wonderful in preparing and delivering my Grandma’s eulogy. He captured her essence perfectly. We had a long virtual meeting with Chris early on, and from that he produced a eulogy which he provided to us to allow for amendments. Nothing was too much trouble for him. His delivery on the day was exceptional. It was the most personalised funeral I have ever attended, and that was in no small part down to Chris. Thank you!

I would like to say a great big thank you to Chris Lowe for the kindness and consideration shown to myself and my family in planning and delivering a fitting tribute to my late husband. It was probably the worst day of our lives but his kindness and dignity throughout the ceremony ensured it was a special one for George.

Thank You.

On behalf of the Bellinger family, we would like to thank Chris Lowe for his wonderful contribution to the cremation service for our wife, mum, Nan and GG.

From the moment he came into our lives, Chris conducted himself with professionalism, compassion and kindness. He made us all feel completely at ease and quickly became like one of the family during such a difficult time.

Thank you again, Chris, for your support and care. We would recommend you 100 per cent to anyone looking for a celebrant who truly goes above and beyond.

Celebrant Service

June 17, 2026

Chris was the celebrant for my husband’s funeral. Chris came to see the family and talked us through the whole process. He was very sympathetic, gentle and considerate. He made a sad, stressful and overwhelming process easy and manageable.

Through a few questions Chris managed to put together a personal and heartwarming Eulogy which perfectly captured my husband’s personality.

Chris worked vigilantly ensuring the funeral and wake went smoothly. The family is grateful and we will happily recommend him.

Thank you, Chris.

A Celebrant and a Friend

June 17, 2026

When my husband passed away in July 2025 we weren’t just grieving; we had no idea where to turn. That is until Chris came on the scene. My elder daughter had already posted our sad news to inform many of his ex-workmates and she received a message, offering his services, as he had recently become a Celebrant. He had often messaged my husband during his retirement and also knew my daughter as they had all worked together, but he didn’t really know much about us as a family. That all changed from our first meeting. He explained the whole of the service and asked about things we would like included, many of which we had not even thought of, as well as adding snippets of his own memories to lead the service seamlessly from one part to the next. He liaised closely with the Funeral Home and reminded us of what we needed to arrange with them, and he also kept up a dialogue with my husband’s ex-colleagues (again, people he knew), culminating in an unexpectedly large number attending the funeral service and wake, eager to share their memories. He spent much time with us in person, despite the distance, and also on the phone, directing us and coaxing and cajoling us in a very caring manner when we found the going tough, so that we met our deadlines.

It was a beautiful day, with fond memories and much laughter amongst all those who attended due, for the most part, to the effort and humanity which Chris brought to the occasion, and we, as a family, cannot thank him enough for his support throughout the whole experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chris for any of the roles that he now fulfills as a Celebrant. Ours, unfortunately, was a sad occasion but he elevated it to a day of memories, laughter and hope for our new and very different life without a much loved husband, father, grandad and friend. We may have been virtually Chris’ first solo outing as a qualified Celebrant, but we would put our trust in him for any occasion and always know that he is only a phone call away.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant than Chris. From the very beginning, he made such a difficult time feel much more manageable. He made the whole funeral process stress-free with his calm, friendly and approachable manner.

Chris took the time to really listen and understand our family, and he helped us deliver a beautiful service for my Dad. We are so grateful for his kindness, professionalism and genuine care. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

My Father's funeral on the 29th January 2026

February 7, 2026

We were introduced to Chris via our Funeral Directors. Chris took the time to meet with us and obtain as much information as possible in order to devise and deliver an excellent eulogy in honour of my father.

That personal touch made our send off for dad even more special. Thank you Chris.

Recommends Chris Lowe celebrant for wedding ceremonies

We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant to officiate our wedding. Chris didn't bombard us with lengthy scripts or try to make it all about himself, he simply showed up, brought his charm, and absolutely nailed the vibe we wanted. He was effortlessly funny, relaxed, and had our guests laughing from start to finish. The ceremony felt genuine, joyful, and totally us - nothing stiff or overly formal, just real moments and a lot of love and laughter.

What really stood out was how he made everyone feel at ease without overcomplicating things. If you're looking for someone who can bring warmth, humour, and a whole lot of good energy to your big day, you'll be in excellent hands.

Recommends Chris Lowe celebrant for funeral services

Losing my father was, without question, the most devastating moment of my life. I remember feeling completely numb—like the world had tilted off its axis—and the thought of facing the funeral filled me with dread. I didn’t know how I’d get through it. Friends and family were kind and tried their best to comfort me, but the grief was overwhelming. Even the simplest tasks, like arranging the funeral, felt impossibly heavy.

We asked Chris Lowe to deliver the eulogy and reflection of Dad's life , and I’ll never forget the care he took with it. He sat down with me and my siblings, gently guiding us through memories of Dad—our childhood stories, the quirks that made him who he was, the moments that still made us laugh. Chris wove those memories into a beautiful tribute, full of warmth and humour. When he spoke at the funeral, he had the entire church laughing through tears.

For the first time since Dad passed, I felt a little lighter. Chris reminded us all that while the pain of losing Dad would never fully go away, we had been gifted a lifetime of joyful memories. That realisation helped me breathe again. By the end of the day, I found myself reflecting not just on the loss, but on the love and laughter that defined our time with him.

I’ll always be grateful to Chris. He gave voice to what I couldn’t say, and in doing so, helped us all begin to heal.
